Renowned for his trademark bold, graphic, and innovative style, award winning art and advertising photographer and film maker David Fairman has had his work exhibited in major galleries and sold as posters and prints around the world. He first exhibited at “The Photographers Gallery” in 1978, and had his first one man show “Blue Skies Ahead” at “The Neal Street gallery in 1980. Two major shows at “The Hamilton’s Gallery” in Mayfair, London followed in 1985 and 1987. In 1988 he was invited to take his exhibition “Gauguin Lives On Tahiti” to the “Gauguin Museum” where his pictures were hung alongside original paintings by Gauguin. Following the path of this famous painter Fairman spent six weeks following his steps on the island of Tahiti. The first image shown here is from that exhibition with Gauguin. The work is also reproduced in the limited edition book “ Gauguin Still Lives on Tahiti”. Fairman has also had the work from his exhibition “Venice Masquerade” reproduced in a similar book of the same name
