Jeff Koons Prints
American artist Jeff Koons (1955 - ) takes every day objects and changes them by altering the scale in which they are presented as well as the materials they are made in. In each of these pieces, which is typically made out of porcelain (Michael Jackson) or stainless steel (such as his Rabbit), represent something that was once mass manufactured kitsch-like miniature items and transforms them into a life-like scale, or larger.
Moreover, his work is produced in a series normally in quantities of three. If the subject of his work is not kitsch like items it is typically that of himself and his ex-wife porn star, who later became a member of the Italian parliament. These works are highly sexualized whether they be created through photography or sculpture, in which he presents himself in a highly sexualized manner.
